Mid Century Living Room

This living room has great space.  When we walked into this house during the house hunting phase of our process, my husband was in awe of the shag carpet, rock fireplace and the velvet furniture.  Although, this room was the only room in the entire house that had no wall paper, so perk for me!

Below you can enjoy the original funkiness of our living room in all its velvety glory!

This room gets great light from outside, but the reflection from the pool gives the room a green hue. I chose a neutral paint color in an effort to minimize that affect in both the living and master bedroom. Below shows the uncovered and refinished wood floors, new paint color, and resurfaced and finished fire place with mantel.
