July Feature Piece

This month has been beyond crazy.  For some reason I always go to into summer with some insane expectation that things will be calmer and this summer was no exception.  This month has been packed with vacation and family fun so the furniture re-dos and projects fall to the side (appropriately) so I have only one project to share with you.

My mother-in-law generously gave me this really unique, cool console table.  It needed some TLC- a hinge fixed, some holes filled and a small crack on the side glued.  I decided to paint it Annie Sloan French Linen and then finish it with clear wax with some dark wax in the details (and boy are there a lot of details on this piece).

With dark wood I knew that two coats would be required to cover all the flaws in the wood.
